MagnifiDENT Carry-in-Warranty
Terms & Conditions
The following warranty terms & Conditions apply to the sale of MagnifiDENT products (hereinafter referred to as “Products”) to a purchasing company or individual or Sub Dealer (hereinafter referred to as “Customers”) by MagnifiDENT.
MagnifiDENT hereby warrants that the Products will be free from defects arising from faulty materials or workmanship for a period between One (1) and Twelve (12) months depending on the type of equipment, the sale thereof and the date of purchase by a customer from MagnifiDENT
The warranty period is exceptionally Three (3) months for products with a life inherently shorter than 24 months due to normal wear and tear) , A schedule of Products and its warranty terms appear on this document.
This warranty shall not apply to Products or parts thereof;
a) which have been subject to abuse, misuse, negligence or accident or are not connected to proper power supply; or
b) to which any modification, alteration or attachment has been made without written consent, or
c) which are installed or operated violating instructions for installation, use and maintenance, or
d) which are normally consumed in operation., or
e) which contain electrical components due to the nature of electrical supply in South Africa which is sub optimal , and with interruption and surges, eg . PC boards, heating elements etc.
The sole and exclusive remedy under this warranty shall be limited to correct or circumvent the errors or to repair or for replacement of defective parts of Products, providing that a written claim of the defect is sent to CEO within the warranty period and the original part is returned to CEO’s premises by the Customer, and CEO’s inspection establishes the existence of such a defect. The Customer must return the products or parts thereof to the offices of Magnifident in a timely period at their own cost. This is regarded as our Carry in Warranty . The item will be tested and assessed . Kindly allow 10-14 working days thereafter for the reply.
Should the product be tested and deemed to be working in a correct manner, The Customer will be billed for Assessment Fees and any other fees incured as well as the return fee of the product to the purchaser.
We SHALL NOT BE LIABLE UNDER ANY WARRANTY IF ITS TESTING AND EXAMINATION DISCLOSES THAT THE ALLEGED DEFECT IN THE PRODUCT OR PRODUCT MATERIAL DOES NOT EXIST OR WAS CAUSED BY THE CUSTOMER’s MISUSE, NEGLECT, IMPROPER INSTALLATION OR TESTING, UNAUTHORIZED ATTEMPTS TO REPAIR, OR BY ACCIDENT, FIRE, LIGHTNING OR OTHER HAZARD.
Furthermore to this, a levy will be surcharged for the inspection and any assessment thereof and which will be payable on presentation of an invoice.

This warranty is voided if any service or repair is performed by persons not authorized by CEO.
This warranty is the CEO’s only warranty in respect of the Products and the CEO disclaims all other warranties, whether of merchantability, fitness for particular purpose or otherwise, guarantees and liabilities, express or implied, arising by law or otherwise.

In no event shall CEO be liable for any general, consequential or incidental damages, loss of use or loss of profits by reason of negligence or otherwise in connection with the sale, delivery, installation, repair or use of the Products.
The CEO shall have no liability whatsoever to the Customer or any other person for or on account of any injury, loss or damage of any kind or nature, sustained by, or any damages assessed or asserted against, or any other liability incurred by or imposed upon the handling, use, operation, maintenance or repairs of Products by anyone other than those that are expressly allowed to. This exclusion of liability does not apply pursuant to the laws on product liability in case of personal injury and property damage to privately used objects resulting from the Products.
Below are the Schedule of Products and the warranty
Small Equipment ( 1-3 month warranty)
Eg. Dental Handpieces (1 Month Warranty) , Endo Motors , Loupes, Disinfecting Guns, Atomisers, UV Cabinets, Dental Stools , Light Guides, etc. Intra Oral Cameras
Medium Size Equipment (6 month warranty)
Eg. Suctions, Portable Units, Compressors, Autoclaves, Distillers, Sealers, UltraSonic Baths, , Curing Lights, Scalers, Mobile units
Larger or Specialized equipment (12 month warranty)
Eg. Dental Chairs ,Operatory Lamps, Power System, X-rays & X-Ray Sensors, Laser Machines, Implant Units, Cad Cam Machines & Sedation units. The Warranty is in force and effect only if fitted by a representative of the company or company authorized by the CEO for the installation.
Hand Instruments ( 24 month Warranty)
All Dental Hand instruments, Forceps, Elevators, etc.

36-60 Month Warranty
Some Equipment may be purchased with an extended warranty of between 36 months to 60 months on paymnet of added fee and at the sole discretion of the CEO.

ALL ITEMS SOLD AT PROMOTION PRICES AND IN CLEARANCE SALE OR WHERE STATED ON AN INVOICE DO NOT HOLD ANY WARRANTY WHATSOEVER.

Repair warranty :
All products repaired under the warranty program will carry a three month warranty upto the end date of the original duration of the warranty of the related product or according to the discretion by the CEO.
​
Items repaired and not collected will incur daily storage charges of upto R150 per day depending on the size of the equipment.
​
Items will be stored at the descretion of the CEO or sold off within 90 days if not collected.
Items not collected and not settled on repairs and storage Fees after 90 days will be sold to defray expenses.
